The "Protector" unique design by Albert Timen is a fixed blade knife with an excellent utilitarian design that is more than capable of being used defensively. The grip profile along with the muted jimping  on the spine allow the Protector to be used with almost any grip. The point blade has enough belly to be a very effective cutting tool. The added serration upgrades its tactical use, and the tip is more than strong enough to accomplish just about any bushcrafting mission.  Perfectly situated in a Kydex sheath designed to be modified for right or left carry options.
